Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and BowNotes, LLC, an Oklahoma limited liability company (“BowNotes,” “we,” “us”). They apply when you use bownotes.com, app.bownotes.com, our apps and our API (together, “BowNotes”). If you use BowNotes for an organization, you agree on its behalf.

Your account

• Keep your sign-in details safe. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
• On Team and Enterprise plans, the account owner and admins manage who has access, can set limits, and control the shared library. Each person’s own notes stay theirs.

Free trials

New accounts get a free trial. We don’t require a card to start one. When a trial ends without a paid plan, the account becomes read-only: you can still read, teach from and export your notes. We may offer, extend or end trials at our discretion.

Plans, billing and cancellation

• Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• You can change plans at any time; changes are prorated. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• If a payment fails, we retry for about a week. If it still fails, the account becomes read-only until it’s fixed. Nothing is deleted.
• Fees aren’t refundable except where the law requires or where we decide to make an exception. Prices don’t include sales tax unless stated.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. Changes apply from your next renewal.

AI features and credits

• Robin and other AI features use credits. Credits included with a plan reset each billing period and don’t roll over. Purchased credit packs don’t expire while your account is active. Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred.
• AI can be wrong. Review what Robin writes, especially Scripture, quotes, facts and figures, before you rely on it. You’re responsible for what you present.

Your content

You own the notes, talks, files and other content you put into BowNotes. You give us permission to store, process, display and transmit it only as needed to run BowNotes for you, including sending it to the services listed in our Privacy Policy (for example, to our AI provider when you use Robin). When you share content to a team library, members of that team can view and copy it.

To keep BowNotes running and to help you, authorized BowNotes staff may access accounts, including viewing and editing content, for support, billing, security and legal reasons. These actions are recorded in our internal records.

Acceptable use

Don’t use BowNotes to break the law, infringe others’ rights, upload malware, harass people, or try to get around security, plan limits or rate limits. Don’t resell BowNotes without our permission. Use the API only with your own keys and within its limits. We may suspend accounts that put others or the service at risk.

Deleting things

Talks you delete go to Trash for 30 days, where you can restore them. After you delete content or an account, we keep a copy for up to 12 months so we can restore it if asked or required, then delete it from our active systems.

Changes and availability

We work hard to keep BowNotes available, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a change to these terms that matters, we’ll let you know before it takes effect.

Disclaimers and limits

BowNotes is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to BowNotes is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Ending this agreement

You can stop using BowNotes at any time. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated violations of these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (like ownership, disclaimers and limits) continue after the agreement ends.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Tulsa County, Oklahoma.
